How it works
Open the Stations screen in the app and enter where you are going. FuelCast draws a line from your location to the destination and checks stations within a few miles of it. It compares filling up near the start with stopping on the way, and adds an estimate of the extra fuel for each detour.
Where the prices come from
In the US, station prices come from Google Maps and are shown as they are, not stored. In France, Spain, Mexico and Western Australia, prices come from the official government or FuelWatch station feeds. Each station shows when its price was observed.
Distances are estimates
Distances are measured in a straight line from the route line, so your actual driving route may differ. A station that looks close to the line can be on the other side of a highway. Always check the price at the pump.
Made for long drives
Road trips, RV travel, trucking and delivery work all mean filling up away from home, often when the tank is getting low rather than when the price is right. The route view shows the cheapest options ahead of you, so the next stop can be a choice rather than a guess.
What it costs
FuelCast is free to download. Its features require a monthly or yearly in-app subscription, and the App Store shows the price in your currency before purchase.

Does it work for diesel?
Yes. Choose diesel in the app. In the US, diesel prices include truck diesel where Google Maps lists it.
Does it need a connection?
Yes. Prices along the route are fetched when you search, so you need a mobile connection.
Is the cheapest station always worth it?
Not always. A small price difference may not cover the detour. FuelCast includes an estimate of the detour fuel, but traffic and access roads can change the real cost.
